The frame is boldly pierced and cast with foliate scrolling ornament, the crestings modelled as ribbon tied crossed quivers and torches with tassell terminals. The entire mirror made in hand carved laminated mahagony with dutch metal gilding inspired by a Louis XVI girandole from Christies European Works of Art, 25th June 1997.
